Client: Straight Laced for Lupe Fiasco
Project: Tee Shirt Design & Production
Before the release of Lupe Fiascos sophomore album "The Cool" we were approached to design and produce a limited edition tee shirt for promotion of the album through Straight Laced. Only given the name of the album, we approached the design with his first album "Food and Liquor" in mind and based it of the neon signage you would normally see in a liquor store window. Because Straight Laced was located in a college town we thought it was only fitting if we created a neon sign based on the title and placed it in the window of a liquor store around campus, next to all of the other signage for vices. So we poked some fun at how in a college town, often times your only part of "The Cool" if your partying.

Each shirt was individually hand printed with "the Cool" on the front, First and Fifteenth and Straight Laced Logos on the back, and individually numbered on the inside left hip. The shirt received press from blogs like Hypebeast, C to the JL, Format magazine and EU Kicks, resulting customers lining up out side of Straight Laced hours before the release and a sold out project.
